Kaelyn and Stevie complied, but the picture was dark, so they could be anywhere. So mom Heather asks for another picture, this time with the light on.
So Kaelyn sent another picture, this time in bright light, and they were indeed at Stevie's house. But Heather still wasn't completely convinced; she mentioned that Stevie looked "cropped" into the picture. She wanted yet another photo.
Being the good daughter that she is, Kaelyn sent her mom yet another picture.

Kaelyn told BuzzFeed she'd gotten busted lying before, so she doesn't have a squeaky clean record with her mom. Kaelyn also has tons of selfies of her and her friends on her camera at all times, so her mom asks her to pose in specific ways, to ensure that the pictures are taken right then and there. Smart!
